Kathy Brown
Kathy Brown’s passion for training dogs was sparked early in life. As a youngster she could be found in front of the TV role playing along with Lassie. Kathy’s first dog was a collie and together they participated in 4-H.
In 1998 Kathy decided to seriously pursue her passion. She began obedience classes and was hooked. Within one year Kathy was assisting our instructors in class. She assisted for several years, has attended obedience seminars and began teaching in 2001.
Kathy has three dogs, a Rottweiler, Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Jack Russell Terrier. Her interest in different breeds gives her experience in training various challenges. Kathy’s Rottweiler has obedience titles in AKC and UKC, has earned her Canine Good Citizen and is a certified therapy dog. Kathy is currently Co-President of the Monroe Valley Dog Training Club.
Kathy’s primary focus with her dogs is competing in obedience, she also enjoys rally, agility, herding and therapy work. At home Kathy also has two horses and many other critters. The bond we share with our dogs has always fascinated her, understanding and embracing that relationship is an ongoing education. Kathy’s goal is to enhance the joyful connection you share with your dog.
